Having a Wellness Plan is one thing. Implementing it in real life - with all its curveballs, busy weeks, & competing priorities - is another.
Follow-up consultations are where the real momentum builds. Progress gets checked. Challenges get troubleshot. The plan gets refined based on how YOUR body is actually responding - not how a textbook says it should.
And here's something most people don't expect: before each session, you'll complete an updated symptoms form. But the real value isn't in the form itself - it's in what happens next. Your Wellness Plan is a living, breathing document that gets updated after every session. In each new version, the shifts you've made are presented back to you - progress you might not have noticed because you're living it day to day.
Clients often say these sessions leave them feeling re-energised & motivated to keep going, because they can actually SEE how far they've come.

Some weeks are great. Others are hard. Your body responds to changes at its own pace, & having regular check-ins keeps things moving forward - catching issues early & adjusting before small setbacks become big ones.

Your Wellness Plan isn't a one-off document that sits in a drawer. It's updated after every session - reflecting what's shifted, what's improving, & what's next. Seeing your own progress presented back to you in black & white is one of the most motivating parts of the process. It's why clients often leave follow-ups feeling re-energised & ready for the next phase.
YOUR PLAN EVOLVES AS YOU DO
What you needed in month one may be different from what you need in month three. Follow-ups ensure your Wellness Plan stays current, relevant, & sequenced to where your body is now - not where it was.
Your Follow Up Options

Standard Follow-Up (60 minutes)
Your regular check-in - usually monthly, though the frequency is tailored to your needs & pace.
Before each session, you'll complete an updated symptoms form. In the session, this is reviewed alongside your previous forms & your Wellness Plan is updated to reflect your current picture.
Progress gets assessed, challenges get addressed, & the next phase of your Wellness Plan gets implemented (or the current phase gets reinforced if more time is needed). After the session, you'll receive your updated Wellness Plan - a fresh document showing what's shifted, what's next, & how far you've come.
Available via Zoom, phone, or in person at the Kapiti Coast clinic.
Investment: $125 (or $120 by bank transfer - you can be invoiced to avoid credit card fees).

Standard Follow-Up + Bloods Review (60 minutes)
Everything in the Standard Follow-Up, plus a review of updated pathology results.
Send your latest blood test results at least two days before the session, & they'll be analysed through the same naturopathic optimal health lens as your initial Pathology Analysis.
Your personalised pathology update document will be emailed along with your updated Wellness Plan.
This is ideal when you're at the 12-16 week mark after starting a new phase of your plan, or whenever you want to check whether the changes you've been making are showing up in your biochemistry. Your plan can then be adjusted according.
Investment: $185 (or $180 by bank transfer).

Quick Catch Up (up to 30 minutes)
Sometimes a question or concern comes up between sessions that can't wait - or you've got a few things you'd like clarified before your next full follow-up.
The Quick Catch-Up gives you dedicated time and attention for exactly that. You might send through your questions by email, or we can jump on a quick Zoom or phone call - whichever suits the situation best. Either way, you'll get a thoughtful, considered response rather than a rushed reply squeezed between other things.
What it's for: Clarifications on your current plan, minor adjustments or supplement tweaks, additional resources, or addressing a handful of questions that have come up since your last session.
What it's not for: Reviewing blood tests or functional lab results, major treatment plan changes, or full reassessment of symptoms. If your concerns need that level of attention, a Standard Follow-Up is the better fit.
Investment: $67 (or $65 by bank transfer).

Annual Health Review, WOF (90 minutes)
For existing clients who have reached their goals & want to stay ahead long-term.
This is your comprehensive yearly check-in - a thorough review of where your health stands now, how things have progressed, & what needs attention going forward. Recent blood tests (shared ahead of time) are reviewed through the same naturopathic lens as your original analysis, your health goals are revisited, & you'll receive a fully updated Wellness Plan reflecting where you are today.
Many clients find this yearly check-in deeply reassuring - a chance to celebrate how far you've come, catch anything emerging early (think of it as your yearly WOF), & set fresh priorities for the year ahead with confidence.
Your updated Wellness Plan will reflect any changes in your lifestyle, medications, stress levels, or health goals since your last session - ensuring your plan stays aligned with where your life is now, not where it was twelve months ago.
Investment: $360* (or $350 by bank transfer).
*The Annual Health Review is designed for clients whose health picture is broadly on track. If significant new health concerns have emerged, or your situation has changed substantially since your last session, a Wellness Kickstart or Wellness Power Up may be more appropriate - as these allow the time needed for a thorough reassessment.

How Often Should You Book?
There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Here's a rough guide:
IN THE EARLY MONTHS:
Monthly follow-ups tend to work best, & this is something you'll decide together based on how things are progressing. There's no need to worry about remembering to book - your next session can be scheduled at the end of each appointment, so there's always a clear date in the diary & you're never left wondering "what now?"
ONCE YOU’RE FEELING STABLE:
Sessions can stretch to every 6-8 weeks, or even quarterly. The pace is always driven by your needs, not a rigid schedule.
WHEN YOU’VE REACHED YOUR GOALS:
A 6-monthly Wellness Power Up or Annual Health Review (WOF) keeps you on track & picks up anything early. Which one suits best depends on your situation - some clients prefer the reassurance of a check-in every 6 months, others find annually is enough. Either way, it's a "look under the hood" to make sure everything's humming along.
IF SOMETHING COMES UP BETWEEN SESSIONS:
That's what the Quick Catch-Up is for. No need to wait until your next full appointment if a question or concern arises.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often do I need follow-ups?
Most clients start with monthly sessions, then gradually space them out as progress builds. There's no lock-in or minimum commitment - the frequency is always based on your needs & pace.
Can I do follow-ups via Zoom?
Absolutely. Most follow-ups work well via Zoom or phone. In-person sessions are available at the Kapiti Coast clinic by arrangement.
What if I'm not making progress?
That's exactly what follow-ups are for. If something isn't shifting as expected, the plan gets adjusted. Sometimes a different approach is needed, sometimes functional testing reveals something new, & sometimes the body just needs more time. Either way, you'll never be left wondering what to do next.
What's the symptoms form about?
Before each session, you'll complete a quick update on your current symptoms (the - by now - familiar tick list, with room to provide written detail if you like). This gets compared against your previous forms, giving a clear visual of what's improved, what's shifted, & what still needs work. It's one of the most motivating parts of the process - progress you can actually see mapped out in front of you.
Do I need to keep buying supplements?
Not indefinitely. Supplement recommendations are regularly reviewed & adjusted. Some may be short-term to address specific deficiencies, others may be longer-term support. The goal is always to reduce reliance on supplements over time as your body returns to balance - food & lifestyle first.
What's the difference between a follow-up and a Wellness Power Up?
Standard follow-ups are for clients who are actively working through their Wellness Plan with regular check-ins. A Wellness Power Up is for clients who've had a gap of six months or more & need to reconnect, reassess, & refresh their plan.
Is this covered by health insurance?
Some policies cover naturopathic consultations - Southern Cross & Accuro are two that often do. Check with your provider about coverage for natural health practitioners.
Can I just book a one-off follow-up without doing the Kickstart?
The follow-up consultations are designed for existing clients who have been through either the Wellness Kickstart or have an established clinical relationship. If you're new, the best starting point is a Pathology Analysis or a free Vitality Roadmap Call to work out where to begin.
